Hi I’m asking for a bit of advice, I am taking my grandkids to Thornwick Bay at half term 21st Oct 06 for a week we fell in love with North Landing on a recent day trip so wanted to go back. I haven’t done any sea fishing for years but would love to take my Grandson while on holiday I am an experienced specimen angler and have got a couple of heavy Pike rods and multipliers could I use these? any tips on 1. What area to fish, 2. What bait 3. What rigs to use, and is there also a good tackle shop nearby, any help would by much appreciated. You know the score if I can get my Grandson hooked on fishing I get to go too. Regards Henry

Hi Henry. My first bit of advice would be to take a look at my Photo Recce website:
http:www.photorecce.co.uk
This shows Thornwick Bay at low water. You'll see that it's all rocks and kelp which requires heavy tackle.
With the gear you've got though it could be worth plugging (surface plugs to avoid losing them). You might find the odd bass if you're lucky at this time of year.
Hope this helps.
Mike
