Braved the North York Moors yesterday to have another go for a cod. Fished from about 3.30pm to 9.30pm. Tide was crap but the conditions were great. Just used one rod this time with a 1/0 pennell and worm/squid/razor. Nothing happened until low water (8pm) then it was bite after bite. Nothing massive but each fish was a different species which is unusual. Had rockling, whiting, codling, coalfish and a flounder. The whiting, coalfish and flounder were decent.
I fancied fishing it back up but knew I had to get across the moors. Plenty of snow up there, -6 degrees, and dense fog which didn't help. The four wheel drive sleigh did a great job though on it's first real test in those conditions. Well pleased.
