Hello chaps,
Anyone watch tonight's Inside Out? Pretty interesting stuff. It was about the British tunny club based in Scarborough in the 1930's to the 1950's. They reckon in years to come the atlantic blue fin tuna will be around in the North Sea and there huge! Well why not......the charter boats in Ireland have been running Tuna charters for years. I'd pay good dosh to catch one of them.
;D

I can see in a few years time the Yorkshire coast having quite a strong game fishing fleet. Not only for the tuna but for shark, tope and bass.

Yeah!! they reckon brid is gonna be buzzing this summer. The new tope mecca a magazine said and the yhuge bass from the boats around flamboro! and from what I heard a skipper from whitby is gonna charter shark trips due to hooking into a mako shark during the whitby angling festival last year. The amount of bass caught going into november was incredible, my best being a little over 5lbs ;D

Was a good spot? Lets see what happens next year when the netters move in. I was actually asked by a netter on Weds night if I knew of any good Bass spots in Scarbro', he knew I would never tell him, but he would sure like to know of some. Please think before you post marks, trust me I know what I'm talking about.

I've modified Porkpies post to remove the exact location. This has been done purely in the interest of preserving the bass stocks. As people may or may not be aware it is not unheard of for netters to view forums to see where the bass are.
I would ask people to carefully consider posting exact locations when it comes to bass. As mike has pointed out there is a PM system if you wish to ask anyone directly.
Thanks. Admin.

No problem mate. The problem is purely to do with bass - best to keep exact locations under your hat or use PMs. Shame that it has to be like that!

Porkpie No apologies needed mate, you did not understand the situation. Trust me they are others that do know the situation and still post bass marks. And I see the Bass was over 5lb very nice, got to ask "did you return it" no problem if you didn't but please try and apply C&R wglst fishing for Bass. Hope to see you out and about sometime, I'm the idiot with the fly rod.

Yes, I released the bass with extreme care and respect. I know that bass are slow growing, and a fish of that weight and size is around 10-12 years old. If people want to eat small sized bass, then go to Morrison's! Farmed sea bass B.O.G.O.FF (buy 1 get 1 free)
