If you're going to be there Saturday and Sunday Tyke then I may come along on the Sunday, if Mark can fit that in, since we usually fish together. I was going to suggest some way of recognising other members - maybe some coloured tape or string tied round the rod rest or something equally simple - might save some embarassing moments otherwise I'm hoping to fish tomorrow (Sunday 23rd) somewhere - not sure where yet! Keith.

Keith. What a good idea, I have two stripes of Red tape round the butt of my rod just so you guys will know me,and a blue tackle box full of stickers,

Sure they won't bite you even if you do Will! When I was meeting up with Tyke a few months ago I went up to some other bloke and ended up getting some very useful info off him. He also caught a bass while I was there! ;D

Just checked the weather on weather.co.uk.
On Saturday they are predicting 15mph North Westerly's (Westerlys on Friday) with rain/snow showers. Could be a good session if there is a bit of movement on the water and it's dull!

In the event of it being too rough on Saturday what are peoples feelings about switching to Runswick Bay?
The beach can be snaggy in patches and weed can sometimes be a problem but it is very comfortable to fish. Heavier tackle than normal is needed (minimum 25lb line and a rod with a bit of backbone. The payoff can be that some good fish do get caught when everywhere else is unfishable.

That's a shame Steve, but raising for charity is definately more important.
Who is planning on making it on the Saturday? The weathers not looking great with rain and snow showers forecast throughout the day and night, along with the fact that it's a pretty poor tide.
The snow aspect is worrying to be honest after getting stuck on Saltergate bank the other week.
I'm tempted to cancel and make it on a day that is better suited to meeting and chatting with people (not shivering with my hood wrapped around my face). Would this upset anyone elses plans?

Mike Play it safe mate, the weather forecast is not good. Making the meet a later date would be better for me too, selfish I know.

Easy either way really, if it suits better (and the weather is c&@p) then I'm all for a change (even tho' it will mean I have to decorate on Saturday instead!).

Take no chances Mike, if the weather is poor & tides no good then lets make it another day.
